Yay!  No fever since yesterday around 4 and his counts went up a little today!  The doctor has ordered a ct scan of his chest and abdomen so still no eating. He is not a happy camper about that and he cant drink.  I wouldn't be either. He does get to drink some Gatorade with the contrast for the CT which will be good.   He really misses his brothers so hopefully they get to come visit today.  That's really all we know right now about what is going on...will keep posting progress reports.
Once again...thank you all for your prayers!

Still here...we have had tests and labs and ultrasounds and x-rays and cant really pin point what is causing his fever and pain.  His doctor sent in a specialist to see what he thought about his antibiotics and if he is on what he should be.  They have decided to treat him for typhlitis which has to do with the bowels.  So with that they have changed his antibiotics and he cant eat or drink to let his bowels rest.  It's so frustrating not knowing for sure what it is.  We have yet to hear about the ultrasound he had done yesterday...hopefully that will show something.  Blade has been so good tho...worked on his Lego's last night for a long time with his dad.  That kept his mind off of everything for a while.  Hes been watching Christmas movies and drawing alot.  trying to keep him busy so hes not thinkin about food.  I hate that for him.
Thank you all for your prayers and support!  Much love

So here we are at the hospital again.  We came in late Thursday night with a fever.  Blades counts were all down so they say maybe Tues or wed before we can go home.  He has been a bit grouchy this time but who can blame him.  His belly hurts really bad keeping him from eating and drinking pretty much anything.  He has had blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound and still we know nothing as to why he is hurting so bad.  The doctor is ordering a more thorough ultrasound tomorrow.  So we are hoping to find something out then.  As of this evening he is still running a fever 102.5.  So somethin is goin on in his little body.  His doctors and nurses have been so good keeping him comfortable and trying to find out.  I think they are just as puzzled as we are.  They have been giving him morphine for the pain...and when it kicks in he says "my arms and legs and shoulders are exhausted."  lol too funny...I just said that's the medicine workin and relaxing your body.  Aunt Joy has been here keeping us company and sitting with Blade so mom can do some Christmas shopping.  Thank God for Joy!  and all our family and friends!  Much love to all!  will keep up on how he is doing.

So...the evening after we got back from treatment on the 6th...Blade developed a fever.  It was late in the evening and I knew we were going to clinic in the morning but I called anyway just to be safe.  the doc said to give him Tylenol and call back if he gets worse.  Well it spiked up to 103.2 but it was just a couple hours before we were to be there so i didn't call back...we got to the clinic and he was still running a fever and i told them what it was earlier and so they admitted him to the hospital.  He had a pretty bad sinus infection and now a fever.  So we waited at the clinic for a room upstairs and they gave him his blood in the clinic which gave him a little more energy but he was in alot of pain with the sinus infection.  His left eye hurt him pretty bad.  That side was plugged up in his sinuses worse than the right.  He had to hold a cold cloth on it.  I felt so bad for him.  We finally got our room and they moved us upstairs.  He got his platelets up there and some strong antibiotics...through his port which was waaaay better than the horse pills at home!  He did play some video games with his brothers after having some Tylenol.  He felt pretty good for the rest of the day.  On Wednesday he felt great all day...still a little pain in his head but much improved.  Then that evening the volunteers from make a wish foundation came to visit Blade and see what his wish is.  They were so sweet and he was his normal goofy self!  they had a ball with him.  His first wish is to go to the ocean in a submarine!  Too cool!  and his second wish (in case they cant grant the first) is to meet Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.  Of course from Pirates one of his favorite movies.  I thought those wishes were unique and so did the ladies from make a wish!  They gave him a gift which was a light saber.  he loved it!  then he played a bit and met a new friend.  Her name is Jessica.  She is 10.  they hung out for a bit then we chilled in the room.  Thursday was a pretty uneventful day...we stayed in the room most of the day.  The doc said we would most likely be there till Monday...yuck!  But Friday came and his labs came back a little better and he was feeling better so they said we could go home!  Yay!  of course Blade wanted to stay!lol  silly boy...i guess that just proves what an awesome hospital and staff they are at PMCH!  The weekend was great!  Blade felt great and played with his brothers.  Such a beautiful sight to see!  yesterday he had treatment and had to have another platelet transfusion.  Then last night was the Gary Brackett Holiday party!  Boy was that fun!!!  They did an awesome job for the kids!  They all got gifts, signed footballs, an autographed pic of Gary...and the food was all kid stuff...but good!  They had cookie decorating stations and thank you card making station for Gary...It was such a good time for them!  and us too!  Blade did get sick once.  But right after he was fine...never complained just thew up ( right at the table...but mom was ready with a puke bowl)  and he went on with the party.  My little hero!
Today was the last day for Physical therapy...hopefully.  He has gotten so much stronger they think he is OK to not go back.  Yay!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!  Cherish every moment!

Sorry its been a while since I've posted!  Alot has happened since the last one...Thanksgiving was great!  hope the same for everyone!  Blade felt soooo good...he ate like a horse!  Had his chemo Monday thru Thurs. and didn't get sick this week.  Last week( the week of Thanksgiving) he got sick everyday BUT Thurs Thanksgiving day!  Yay!  Last Monday he had to have a blood transfusion...his hemoglobin was low.  That went fine and made him feel better.  He felt GREAT all week...playing with his brothers and being himself...fun and LOUD and silly!
Yesterday we got to go to the Colts game vs Cowboys.  It was alot of fun.  Thank you Gary Brackett!!!  Even tho they lost...after the game we were walking to the van and Blade said I think I need some blood!  lol  I said well I guess you would know!  and today we went to his treatment and his counts were low!  and he needs blood and platelets!  Its crazy that he knows how he feels and what he needs.  So he had his shots ( one in each leg) and his other chemo.  Then we had to go for a ct scan  of his sinuses because he has had a cold for a while.  He has a sinus infection.  So he has to take antibiotics and nose spray for that.  Huge pills!   and he thought the ct scan was awesome!  lol  So we go tomorrow for the blood and platelet transfusion.  His brothers are going with him...hes excited about that.  They are too Because they don't have to go to school!  Pray for mom tho!  lol
Before the game Sunday Brian proposed to me!  so exciting.  Blade is really excited!

Well Blade started his 2week span of chemo 4 days in a row yesterday.  We went to the clinic and was there all day yesterday to have the first treatment.  He did great...until we were walking out to the car to go home...he vomited in the parking lot.  I felt so bad for him.  We got in the van and i got his shoes and pants all cleaned off and he said " I sure did just throw up in the parking lot"  He is such a good sport about all of this!
He had his home care nurse come today and give him chemo.  That went well.  His "Aunt" Ashley was here with him cause mama had an appointment.  Then his teacher came for a little bit of schoolin...it didn't last very long though.  about 10 minutes in he vomited.  So she said she would just come back tomorrow.  His choice.  I hope he is better tomorrow.  Not only for school but because i hate to see him sick like that.  Now he is resting and is doing alright.
